# A load is missing from the board. What to check

> Check the tab first, then whether the board is on, whether the load went to tomorrow's board, whether a clear or a newer sheet removed it, and whether only some people can see that source. If none fits, ask support.

## 1. Check the tab

The board has tabs such as **Active**, **Claimed**, **Booked**, **Delivery**, **Covered**, **In Route** and **AI Leads**. The dispatch board has no **Delivery** tab. A claimed load leaves **Active** and shows under **Claimed**. A booked or covered load moves to its own tab. ## 2. Was the board cleared?

**Clear Board** switches the board off. If nobody turns it back on, loads imported later that day go to the next board day (see the next step). Switching the board off by itself does not hide loads. See [How loads get onto your board](https://help.smartloads.io/how-loads-get-on-your-board).

## 3. Did it land on tomorrow's board?

Once your board has been cleared at noon Central or later, and nobody has turned it back on, loads imported later that day go on the next board day. Friday, Saturday and Sunday go to Monday. A late-import load shows a notice, and search finds it now.

## 4. Was it cleared or replaced?

- Each night, loads from earlier days that are not booked or covered are archived. A customer can have **Keep loads through ship date** turned on to keep their loads until the night after the ship date.
- When a customer sends an updated sheet, loads that are not booked and no longer on the sheet come off today's board.

## 5. Can you see that source?

A source can be set so only the people it names see its loads. Admins always see every load. Everyone sees the loads they claimed, booked, covered or created. Only SmartLoads staff change who sees a source, so if you suspect this, ask support.

## 6. Did the email make loads?

A customer email becomes loads only when SmartLoads has a reader for that customer's format. Otherwise it makes none.

## Still not there?

Ask support, and give them the load number, the customer and the date you expected it.

### Does the nightly clear remove booked loads?

No. It never archives booked or covered loads.

### A load shows a "Rate review" tag. Is it hidden?
