Enter a load in Aljex
Open the load's email in Outlook with the SmartLoads panel, or with Outlook at the top of the SmartLoads board, and SmartLoads reads the paperwork. On the Delivery tab, open it and click Copy for Aljex. In Aljex, click Fill from SmartLoads copy for the shipment, save, then click it again for the carrier and the Pro #.
You need the SmartLoads Shipment Fill extension in Chrome. If you don't have it yet, see Fill Aljex with the SmartLoads Chrome extension.
Before you start
To fill the carrier too, make sure the carrier's MC and pay are on the load in SmartLoads: the load is booked with its carrier, it's covered, or a carrier rate con is matched to it. Otherwise the copy leaves the carrier out and says so, and you key the carrier in Aljex.
Read the email
- Open the load's email in Outlook with the SmartLoads panel. See Install the Outlook panel.
- Or, in SmartLoads, click Outlook at the top of the board and open the email there.
SmartLoads reads the paperwork and finds the load.
Copy it from the Delivery tab
- On the board, click Delivery and open the load's shipper paperwork.
- Under Ready for Aljex, click Copy for Aljex.
Fill Aljex
- In Aljex, go to Shipments, then Add Shipment.
- Click the SmartLoads extension, then Fill from SmartLoads copy.
- Check every box, then click Save in Aljex.
- Click the extension and Fill from SmartLoads copy again. The carrier, MC and carrier pay go in, and the Aljex Pro # goes back to SmartLoads.
- Check the boxes and click Save again.
The Pro # in SmartLoads
Once SmartLoads has the Pro #, the board shows the load as Pro and the number. Accounting matches the load to its Aljex invoice by that Pro #.
